What do i need to Feed them ?
When you first get the rescue Hens home - they need Layers Mash, Dry, for the first week. We have small Handy sized bags
of a Special Blend Layers Mash available on the collection day - so you wont need to buy anything else.
After that first week - introduce them to normal Layers Pellets and Mixed Corn, plus all of your vegetable scraps, leftover
Rice and Pasta, cabbage Leaves etc etc - all of which they will love.
How Much does a Hen Cost ?
We ask for a minimum Donation of £1 per Hen - (although donations of £3-£4 per bird is on average given) This is to
help cover costs of Trailers, Poultry Crates, Purchasing the Hens from Farmers (No we dont get them free... ) and all asssociated
